Reception
Peverell Park provides a dedicated trained team of receptionists to respond to all patient enquires whether via telephone or in person. The staff will assist you in getting the help that you need from the Practice.

Nurse Practitioner
Sister Tracey Allen is an experienced health professional, working alongside the doctors in providing complete healthcare. She can diagnose and treat common health problems such as infectious diseases and minor illness, and provide advice and treatment for children and adults during periods of poor health.

Practice Sisters
Our Practice nurses are involved in a wide range of clinical activities, including the management of patients with asthma, diabetes, hypertension, well woman, family planning and health checks to prevent heart disease. Our nursing team also assist in enabling the practice to provide minor surgery services and full travel vaccination advice.

Phlebotomist
The Practice can provide a full phlebotomy (taking blood samples) service in house, including the use of INR star.

District Nurses
The District nurses aim to promote health by providing skilled nursing to patients within the community. The Practice works closely with the team, liaising daily for patients needs.

Midwifery
Patient care during pregnancy is shared between the doctors and the Practice midwife who will be available to give advice and help throughout the pregnancy and postnatal period. Some ante-natal services will be offered through the Sweetpea service at Brandreth Road.

Health Visitors
A health visitor is available for advice about health matters concerning a family, the elderly and about local facilities in the area. Child development screening continues up until the age of 5 years and a baby clinic is held locally.

Counsellor and Counselling
Many people experience emotional difficulties at some time in their lives. The Counsellor can help to look more clearly at what is happening and to move on through difficult times.

Macmillan Nurses
The Macmillan Nurses aim to enhance the quality of life for those with a life-threatening illness (predominantly cancer) by offering information, advice and support to patients, families and carers.

ECGs
Electrocardiograms are conducted in house by Mrs Maria Walters.

INR Testing
This testing is now conducted in house by our phlebotomists.

Specimens
Any specimens that have to go to the laboratories need to be handed into the surgery by 10.00am each day (Monday to Friday).

Minor Operations
These are conducted on Thursday mornings for the treatment of such conditions as ingrowing toe nails, moles etc.
