Dr Richard Benjafield MB BS DA Hons
(qualified at Royal Free Hospital, London 1979)
Moved into general practice in 1986 after leaving the navy, trained in anaesthetics, his interests in general practice range from Paediatric care to Chronic Disease management. Richard supports the training of medical students within the Practice. Richard is a keen Yachtsman, married with 5 children he enjoys husky driving in the Arctic each year. Richard speaks some French, Spanish and Swedish. |

Dr Sarah Murray BM DRCOG Hons
(qualified at Southampton University in 1981)
Sarah grew up in Plymouth and qualified with Honours from Southampton University in 1981. She trained as a GP in London before moving back to Plymouth with her family. Her special interests are Women’s Health, Contraception and Medical education. She has 3 children and enjoys going to the gym and walking on Dartmoor and the coastal paths. She joined the Practice in 1988 and has over 20 years of general practice experience. |

Dr Peter Williams MB BS MRCP
(qualified at St. Mary's Hospital, London in 1980)
Peter entered general practice in 1987 after gaining wide experience in general medicine and enjoys all aspects of general practice. Peter’s interests lie in sporting injuries. He is a sports enthusiast and enjoys golf, tennis and scuba diving but now only watches rugby and football. |

Dr Kim Storrow MB ChB DCH
(qualified at Cardiff University in 1982)
Kim joined the practice in 1989 before which she spent a year travelling with her husband (Dr Peter Williams). During this time she worked in Australia including some time with the Royal Flying Doctor service.
Kim is widely experienced in all aspects of general practice although her specialities are young people’s health, contraception and sexual health.
She has three children and enjoys most sports in particular skiing and scuba diving. |

Dr Philip Rowland MB ChB MRCGP
(qualified Birmingham University in 1992)
Philip grew up in Plymouth and qualified at Birmingham University. He joined the Practice in 1998 with special interests in dermatology, research and men’s health. Philip has four children and a lovely wife. Philip enjoys playing squash regularly. |

Dr Peter Dunne MBChB MRCGP
(qualified at Liverpool University in 1994)
Originally from Northern Ireland, Peter studied medicine in Liverpool graduating in 1994. Eventually moved to Plymouth in 2000 to work as a GP. Clinically, Peter’s special interests are sports and musculosketal medicine. Peter has travelled extensively and spent two years working in Australia and New Zealand. He enjoys keeping fit, particularly walking and cycling on Dartmoor. |

Dr Ros Mills MB,BS,MRCGP,DFSRH,DRCOG
(qualified Imperial College School of Medicine in 2000)
After qualifying Ros worked in London and Australia and New Zealand before settling in Devon four years ago. Ros is interested in all aspects of general practice, particularly sexual health, contraception and healthcare for people with learning disabilities. Ros lives with her husband and loves walking, skiing, sailing and mountain biking. |

Dr Peg Hardman BM,MRCGP,DFFP,DRCOG Certificate of Clinical Research
(qualified Southampton University in 1999)
Peg is originally from Cornwall and she trained to do Medicine in Bath and Southampton. Her specialities are on Women’s Health, Contraception and Mental Health. In her spare time she enjoy swimming, live music and spending time on the beach or exploring Dartmoor with her young family. |

Dr Claire Fox MA(Hons) BM BCh MRCP MRCGP DTM&H PG Certificate in Medical Education
(Qualified Oxford University 1997)
Claire studied medicine at Oxford and in 1999 settled in Plymouth where she worked for a number of years in general medicine. She became a GP in 2003 and enjoys all aspects of general practice with special interests in cardiology, neurology and medical education. Claire likes to spend her spare time outdoors, on Dartmoor and at the coast, with her husband and children. |

Sister Tracey Allen RGN
Tracey qualified as a nurse in Manchester in 1984. She was a Sister in Charge of a surgical ward until leaving to have children. Tracey worked as a Practice Nurse within a doctor’s surgery before qualifying as a Nurse Practitioner in 2001. Tracey can diagnose and treat common health problems such as infectious diseases and minor illness, and provide advice and treatment for children and adults during periods of poor health and issue prescriptions where necessary. |
Medical Students
The Practice is a training practice for Peninsula Medical School undergraduates. There may occasionally be students sitting in with the doctor, and you will of course be informed if this is the case. If you would prefer not to see the student just let us know.
Locums and other Doctors
In order to maintain a consistently high quality of service to our patients, we will from time to time employ other GPs at the surgery. You may be offered an appointment with one of these doctors when your doctor is away or fully booked.
