Appointments

We aim to provide all patients asking for a routine appointment to see a GP within 48 hours of the request, and to see a healthcare professional ( e.g. our Nurse Practitioner or Practice Nurse ) for a routine appointment within 24 hours. Within these timescales we won't always be able to offer an appointment with the GP or healthcare professional of your choice, so if you want to see a particular person you might need to wait a little longer.

All consultations are by appointment, made either in person or by telephoning 766644 during surgery hours. Appointments are available two weeks in advance you will be offered the first available appointment with a Doctor

To help surgeries to run smoothly as possible please bear in mind the following points:-

Be punctual
Cancel appointments in good time - someone else may be in need
1 appointment is for 1 patient

Home Visits

A home visit takes three times as long as a surgery appointment due to the travelling time. Therefore, doctors would appreciate it if patients can attend surgery whenever possible. If you are too ill to attend surgery and require a home visit, please telephone the surgery 766644 Except in an emergency please call before 10am in order to let the doctors plan their work more efficiently. All home visits are undertaken at the doctors discretion on the basis of medical need only.

You will hear a recorded message giving the out of hours telephone number to contact.
From the 1st October 2004, this service will become the responsibility of the Plymouth Primary Care Trust
